Dear CHSMA Community,
We hope this message finds you safe and warm.
At this time, Chapel Hill School of Musical Arts will be OPEN tomorrow, Monday, February 2nd, as well as for the remainder of the week.
That said, we recognize that this storm has affected members of our community in very different ways. Some of our faculty live close to the school and experienced minimal accumulation, while others are traveling from farther distances and received more significant snowfall.
Because of this, some lessons may take place in person, while others may shift to a virtual format. In the event that a lesson cannot take place either in person or virtually, it will be made up at a later date and will not count as either a student- or teacher-initiated absence. Our faculty are currently confirming their plans based on safety and travel conditions.
What to expect next:
- If you have a Monday lesson or studio class, you will hear directly from your teacher by 10:00am tomorrow with any updates.
- For the rest of the week, please assume that lessons are proceeding as scheduled unless you hear otherwise from us or your teacher.
We will continue to share updates through email, our website, and social media, and our administrative team will be monitoring inboxes and phone lines throughout the day.
Thank you for your patience, flexibility, kindness, and care as we navigate these winter conditions together.
With appreciation,
Dave Tedeschi & Rachel Hall |
