Nick Baker
Teacher: Trumpet
Nick is a lifelong North Carolina musician whose versatile trumpet career has taken him from performing in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade to appearing at the Orvieto Musica Festival in Italy.
A graduate of Western Carolina University with additional graduate work at UNC Greensboro, Nick has performed for weddings and ceremonial events across the state and has played with collegiate orchestras, wind ensembles, big bands, and brass quintets.
Mentored by Dr. Ulrich (Western Carolina University) and Dr. Klein (UNC Greensboro), Nick brings a student-centered approach to teaching — one that’s focused on sparking joy and inspiring growth in every lesson. We’re thrilled to welcome Nick to the CHSMA community and can’t wait for our students to learn from his talent and passion for music!
