After college, Kayla brought her drive to perform to Nashville, where she took part in some wonderful shows like “The Burnt Part Boys,” “Newsies,” “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown,” and “Cirque Dreams Holidaze” at the Grand Ole Opry and later in their national tour productions in 2019. Recently becoming a member of the triangle area theatre community, Kayla participated in Stone Soup’s “Ride the Cyclone” as Jane Doe.
In her role as a teacher, Kayla firmly believes in making practice both engaging and enjoyable. She takes the time to understand each student’s personal goals, regardless of their size, and actively collaborates with them to chart a path toward achievement. Having a special knack for making complex physiological ideas easy to grasp, Kayla utilizes an interactive teaching method that translates concepts into tangible feelings in your instrument. Through her guidance, students will learn to explore and embrace their individual vocal timbre, hone their abilities to convey emotions and narratives through melodies, and understand and strengthen vocal techniques.
