Daisy Schön

Daisy Schoen, she/her, is a professional vocalist living in North Carolina.

Ms. Schön received a BM in Vocal Performance from Indiana University and MM in Vocal Pedagogy from UNCGreensboro. Daisy is the director of music at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church and an adjunct instructor at UNCPembroke.

Daisy’s musical endeavors span across many genres, from her formal training in Western Classical music, jazz, and sacred music to active study and work in contemporary and traditional Arabic music, pop, and musical theater.

As a music facilitator, Daisy strives to blend pedagogical practices to tailor her instruction to each individual. As a former social worker, Daisy highly values trauma-informed pedagogy, nonviolent communication techniques, and a person-first approach to lessons.

With over ten years of collegiate teaching experience, she has taught voice on the faculties at the University of North Carolina Wilmington and North Carolina Central University, as well serving as a teaching assistant in applied voice during her time at Eastman.

On the opera stage, Constance has performed with the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, Opera New Jersey, North Carolina Opera, Florence Symphony Orchestra, Opera Wilmington, Champlain Valley Voices, Wilmington Thalian Association, the Wilmington Symphony Orchestra, and the Durham Savoyards, to name a few. Notable roles include Dorabella in Cosi fan tutte, Donna Elvira in Don Giovanni, Sharon Graham in Master Class, Grace Ansley in Roman Fever, Erste Dame in The Magic Flute, Principessa in Suor Angelica, The Sorceress in Dido and Aeneas, and the title role in Gilbert and Sullivan’s Princess Ida (upcoming March 2026)! As a concert soloist, some of her credits include Vivaldi’s Dixit dominus and Gloria, Dubois’s Seven Last Words, Schubert’s Mass in G, Bach Cantata 4, Handel’s Messiah, and Bach’s Magnificat.

As a teacher, Constance is passionate about developing technique to discover each singer’s unique and healthy sound, free from imitation of other singers, to allow maximum expression and artistry. She instructs singers at all levels from beginning to advanced, and particularly enjoys working with adults and older students.
