Lydia Bolmer brings to her teaching a varied background of musical experience. She has taught piano lessons to students of all ages for over 25 years and has helped her students prepare for various auditions and festivals during that time.
She has also served as a church musician selecting and playing piano, keyboard and organ pieces for services and accompanying soloists and choirs. Her classical musical skills also include accompanying ballet classes at UNCG, NC School of the Arts, the Greensboro Ballet School and the Virginia School of the Arts. Her educational background began in her native Austria, where she studied music therapy at The University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna and the Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna, where she studied jazz piano and theory. In the United States she continued her studies, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Music from UNC Greensboro in 2010. She is a member of the American Guild of Organists, the National Music Teacher Association, the Greensboro Music Teacher Association and the Golden Key International Honor Society.
