Lina has been a teacher for 11 years and 3 years teaching online. She loves to teach all ages, her patience, creativity and positive reinforcement makes the piano lessons a personalized fun experience helping the student achieve their musical goals. She has been a featured member of many groups, including the David Mengual Free Spirits Big Band, Bill McHenry Quartet, Maalem Aziz Arradi, Maalem Abdallah Harroch, Singer Ariana Barrabes (Evoeh- Cantadme Galanica), Tara, Barcelona Gospel Messengers and Saxophonist Pintxo Villar.

Mrs. Lomanto is a Colombian pianist, songwriter and singer now living in Durham, North Carolina.Born in Bogotá Colombia, she started playing the piano at the age of 5. Furthermore, studied music and piano at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana de Bogotá, travelled to Spain to completed her degree and her masters in the Conservatory del Liceu in Barcelona and later augmented her studies with jazz piano legend Barry Harris and classical professor Sophia Rosoff in NYC. Her own style incorporates Jazz, impressionism, Gnawa, and Latin Colombian music. She is featured on 8 CD’s. She has been an active touring member with these groups as well as her own, and was a standout pianist in the Barcelona music scene. Mrs Lomanto presented her latest project with Bassist Horacio Fumero, RJ Miller in the drums and Tenor saxophonist Bill Mchenry.
