We like meeting with prospective students and parents to answer all their questions and to find out what they want as well so that we can help choose a great teacher or class for them. There is never any pressure to register — just a friendly, helpful chat to find out more about what we have to offer.

Meris Gadaleto received her Bachelor’s of Music in Vocal Performance from Oberlin Conservatory (OH) and her Masters of Music in Opera Theater from UNCG. With excellent training in vocal pedagogy from both institutions, she has a solid background in the teaching of voice and is a welcome addition to our faculty in this area.

Her performing resume is also impressive; already she has done over 20 leading roles in opera and theater and has won a number of singing awards in the state and region. In addition, she has received specialized training in Alexander Technique, dancing, acting, cello and piano.

She is taking over the students formerly taught by her friend and colleague, Ashlea Burton at CHSMA, and will also be accepting new students when openings occur. She is comfortable working with students of all levels and ages and is very excited to work with our students to help them improve their vocal technique and performing abilities.
